He was elected in November 6, 1860 with only 40% of the popular vote. He was inaugurated March 4, 1861. Elected again, November 8, 1864 with 55% of the popular vote. His second Inauguration was on March 4, 1864, with John Wilkes Booth sitting not too far behind him. Assassinated April 14, 1865 by John Wilkes Booth. Dies the next morning at 7:22am.
