In the movie "Come back to the 5 and dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" do you think that Joanne (karen black) regretted her decision or not? I'm basing this on when Sissy(i think)--the character played by CHER asks her if it hurt..and she says something like only when I think about it..or only years after.

I think Joanne's character is referring to the emotional scars she still faces from those who simply didn't understand her decision to through with the GRS.
Kind of like saying that growing up with neglectful parents "hurts."
