I've also wondered this. I'm not scared of anything other than spiders, bee's and simular insects, such as centipedes. I think i've finally figured out why..

For me, I'm scared of them because I don't like crispy, tiny, itchy, stingy, crawly insects on me. Ladybugs don't bother me. Ants dont bother me. Flys don't bother me.

So why spiders and bee's?

I've come to realize it's because of their special traits (biting and stinging) that you can't shoo them away as you traditionally would. If a stupid fly landed on me, i'd simply get rid of it. But when a bee comes near you, you feel helpess, because you know that shooing it away will only make it come closer, and potentially do the opposite of what you wanted it to do! It's the helplessness that we get when we don't know how to get rid of them.

That's why I'm a little afraid of them, anyways. How about you?

Theyre creepy crawly, flying crazy things. They bite, they sting, they can even poisen you. I hate all bugs.*

I'm not afraid of them probably because my Mom used to smash spiders with her bare hands and tell me it's silly to be afraid, I am much bigger than that bug. As far a bees, one I shoo away, a swarm I am terrified. I was stung on the lip by a hornet as a child, I still shoo bees away, they're just bees and I'm not allergic, even if I am stung, I'll be OK, no need to panic.

I'm not that scared of spiders... one bit me when I was eight and it hurt, but I'm not really, really scared of them.

As for bees, last month, every day when I walked home from school, I had to come to a complete halt at the sight of a gigantic bee in my way. I'm afraid of them because I've never been stung before, and I'm afraid of being stung because I heard the beestings really hurt. THose annoying buzzing things with stingers!

I'm scared of spiders because I was bitten by a poisonous one when I was little and had to be stuck in bed with constant monitoring for a week. I'm not scared by bees as much.. I just don't want to get stung.

I didn't read all the additional details on your question, it loked like a lot of hard work and quite frankly I'm feeling pretty lazy on this fine sunday night. I'm scared of bees because I'm allergic to them and spiders because one bit me on the toe once.

Spiders don't bother me because they eat those pesky mosquitoes. Now bees are different because I'm allergic. I see one, I run the other way.

centipedes disgust me. I am OK with most other bugs. Spiders keep my garden under control. I consider them my friends.

I also like the ants, darlings that they are.

I am not scared of bees, or spiders. I am pathologically scared of cockroaches, I don't know why, I get goosebumps when I spot one.
