Change the fluid and filter about 30 to 50 thousand miles, thiss will extend the life, other than that, don't drive it like a Nascar driver.

This is one I just learned recently. Do NOT get a trani flush. Bad, bad, bad. Some will tell you to do that, I strongly recommend that you dont. Get a new filtre every so often and depending on the mileage, a new gasket wouldnt be a bad idea. Its also a good idea to check your trani fluid level (while the car is running) on a regular basis, just like you do with your engine oil. It should be red, not brown or orange. When you get your filtre replaced, check it for silver bits... means your trani is in trouble.

Change the fluid & filter every 50,000 miles (80,000 Km)
Flush the system(cooler) after refilling. Refill, but DO NOT overfill with manufacturer's recommended fluid.
