Rinse them several times to remove any sandy like grit.I take a good size chunk of country bacon(unsmoked cured bacon) and boil it in water 15 or 20 min before I add greens. Greens cook so fast that you may not get the full flavor of the meat if you don't.Salt to taste and don't forget the cornbread.Enjoy.I forgot to tell you to cut off the tough stems before cooking.

Stuff them into a pot with 1 cup chicken stock, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tbs Worcestershire Sauce and a few slices bacon (optional).
After coming to a boil stir, and let cook 20 minutes or until tender.
Yum. Enjoy!
