Alban Butler's "Lives of the Saints" is quite good, but it's 200 years old, so some of the newer ones are left out.

There is a newer one, by a man named McBrian, which includes those that aren't in Butler's book. I believe it is also called "Lives of the Saints."

I have read the first one, and can tell you it's a good overview of those who have become saints. It includes their lives and the things they did which later got them canonized. I have not read the second one yet, but hope to get around to it!

Both are available online at Barnes & Noble, but I have also seen Butler's book in many brick and mortar bookstores.

Good luck!
