Im not a mother but my mom did something to me that answered that question.
She had to work, I was in High school and didnt know she was working. Didnt know where she was at, I was worried that something happened to her. Just like she was worried about something happening to me. All the what if she got into a car accident and she was in the hospital? or like the other one said w/ the some of the guys that are out there Id worry 2. and thats comming from someone thats not a mother.

Is that what your mother is worried about? Not that you got hit by a truck, or fell off a ladder?
Anyway, your appearance doesn't have much to do with whether you get raped.

It's natural for a mother to worry about her children. And a child always stays a child to a mother and therefore vulnerable..
