I am looking into buying a 2000 Ford Focus that does not have a/c. I am curious if you can put a/c into a used car.

It would cost a couple thousand dollars.

You can, and the parts should be available (there are lots of 200 Ford Focuses in junkyards as we speak). However, the installation is very expensive, and I can't imagine a situation in which you wouldn't be better off purchasing a car with working A/C.

If it has the blower vents and it should, it's possible. You'd be spending a bunch of money. Most of the parts you'd have to buy new because if you got a salvage yard one, you'd be dealing with lots of rust inside.
