1st part... miscarriage fears are VERY normal!!!! Don't be alarmed. However, miscarraiges can often have the same sort of symptoms as pregnancy, so its hard sometimes. I've had 2 miscarriages, and they were both quite painful. Contracting sort of pains in my abdomen, sharp shooting tightening pains. I was VERY tired... and I bled heavily. My first miscarriage I actually passed a tissue with a little red dot in the middle when I peed. but you can do blood tests. as long as your hormone level is going up, then you are not miscarrying. but even if you miscarry, a home pregnancy test will come back positive.

2nd: don't lift anything that you would have to strain for. like, don't lift anything heavier that you would NORMALLY do before you were pregnant. Of course don't do damaging things such as go tanning or go on crazy circus rides. Don't excessively drink and DONT SMOKE or use drugs. But even more importnat than what to avoid, make sure you implement a new life style. Research is now saying that fish oil is great for the developing fetus. Please rest a lot and eat well. Take vitamins and excersise!!! Congrats.

I had a miscarriage in december and I did everything right, I took my vitamins, ate right, stayed away from smoke and alcohol, exersized. I did everything I could and it still happend. If something is wrong with the baby, you body won't hold it. Its just natures way of keeping you from having further heart ache when the baby is born and dies from abnormalities. I am now 14 weeks pregnant and everything is fine, I am doing exactly what I did before.
As far as what one is like, mine started out being a little bit of spotting, and then cramping, I went to the ER and they said that I had a missed miscarriage. I then had a D&C, and got pregnant after my doctor said it was okay.
Just keep your thoughts positive, which I know is harder said than done, and make sure you take your vitamins.
Good luck and congrats.

So U need to go buy the what to expect when your expecting its only 12 to 14 dollars. you need to see a doc get on prenatal vitamins, don't smoke dont drink dont take anything stronger than Tylenol. if you feel extreme cramping go to the hospital if you have any bleeding of any kind go to the hospital. you should feel what feels like a cramp on your right side or left side that is normal that is called round ligament stretching however if you feel menstrual like cramps go to the hospital. above all get a doc and go.
