A little weird and completely unusual.
Here is an idea ... both of you play a game. See who can find a girlfriend first. Then you go and talk to any female that looks human. Flirt, tell them they are cute and ask for their number. You should find at least ONE girl that wants to play your horny games ... after talking to at least 100 girls. It's called the law of averages.
Don't discriminate. Also, you might need to try harder and honestly be attracted to the girls you talk to. But if you are at the point of masterbating to porn with your guy friend next to you ... then this is a game you might need to play.

well, in my opinion it depends.... how old are u? if you're like thirty well... i'd find that weird.
apart from that, i think it's normal. i mean, like the pulse of the sexual situation were stronger than the fact that you were with your friend, and well, if its your friend you have a social connection with him, i mean, he's not a stranger or so.
my personal case, never tried that so cannot tell you if it feels strange....
