Absolutely not. I know a woman who is 32 years old and she was molested by her stepfather when she was 10. She just came forward about it and he is now serving a 12 year sentence. You've got to press charges, not just for your own sake, but also in case this person is doing the same thing to another little girl. I just want to say I am so, so sorry for what happened to you. I hope that justice will be served and that you will find some closure. Good luck.

Not too late. People report this 20, 30 years later. Don't let them do it to some other kid. You shouldn't have had this happen to you, must have been a nightmare, but you can help yourself now. Best of luck

Do you have any proof that this molestation happened? It's not too late to report such cases (I believe) but without sufficient proof that the event took place there would be no grounds to take any action. Proof can be photos of injuries, statements of acknowledgment, and etc. Unfortunately this type of proof is very rarely available. I wish you the best of luck in bringing the person who did this to you to justice.

most states have a very long statute of limititations, or none at all, on child molestations, in other words you probably have plenty of time to report this to authorities.

No, but if you or anyone else is no longer in danger why relive it all. The important thing is how you feel about it. You may have to do something like this in order to move on. Good luck and I wish you well in whatever decision you make. :)

It probably is for a criminal charge, but would depend on the state laws where it occurred. You should certainly be able to file a civil suit.
