do you think aliens will visit us soon?

Question

a lot of people suggest that humanity is at a turning point and that aliens will make them selves known to us within the next 5-10 years. Any opinions about that?

I think they have been here and we are a hybrid of early man and Aliens. The leap forward we made as opposed to other primates, is astounding. We went from throwing poop , to language. We changed faster that any other primate with large gaps in our fossil records..

Ummm... I doubt it. The field of astrobiology (or exobiology) is just starting to expand, and there is no way that we can pin point when aliens will arrive for one of several reasons:

1. We have to ask ourselves, are we alone in the galaxy? If we are alone, then there is no way aliens will arrive. The galaxy is at least 10 billion years old, and according to estimates, it would take roughly 50 million years to colonize the galaxy once a species has intersteller capabilities. So, arguably, if we were not alone, the other species would have probably colonized the galaxy already.

2. In astrophysics, the scale of 5 to 10 years is very small, and it is simply impractical for us to expect an alien race to arrive in such a small amount of time.

If they said that aliens would be arriving within the next 250,000 to 500,000 years, it would be a different story.

Verdict: You have a better chance of winning the loterry... twice.

What does what we do here have anything to do with what possible aliens might decide to do, assuming that aliens would be able to visit us in the first place?
I mean, if humanity is at a turning point, it is because of events that are local; no one is out there and saying "Humm, time to call in the Aliens".

(And what turning point are we talking about here? Hve you seen our global ways getting nicer, better or more respectful lately?)

And besides, if I was an alien, I'd keep away from Earth. Anything I'd like to learn I could just by watching Earth's TV or logging on the Internet. Anything I might want to teach humanity could also be done through radio or Internet communication.

But any alien should be wise enough to keep well clear of this planet, because there are too many crazies with guns who shoot first and ask question later.

So, in a nut shell, no way are aliens going reveal themselves to us soon. To argue otehrwsie is to go out on a limb without any justification, fact or proof whatsoever.

Some people have made a theory that all aliens are female. And every 500 years or so they come to earth and how do I put it increase the size of their race. It's weird and scary to men but could be true so no one knows.

we are on my own in our universe because of the fact our universe is in straight forward terms a fragment of the total universe. we are like a sprint nest of black ants on your outdoor and the clarification why the pink ants have not made it there is with the help of the fact they are able to in straight forward terms stay in heat humid climate and could no longer proceed to exist the chilly. How do you recognize that there are no longer any aliens here, they in all probability took this variety of a human and are turning out to be the President of usa. only Kidding! The aliens are too far-off and the few ones who make it die because of the fact they can't proceed to exist in this environment.
