It's not for a big Hollywood movie or anything like that. It's just for a student film festival main feature.I'm auditioning for parts as mean girls. I've read the audition script over and over, and now i can recite the lines in my sleep!!!!i've had my friends read the script to me,and they say that i did great and that they think i will get the part. But my two mai worries are that i still don't think i've quite captured the characters , and there's my "rival". She's a grade ahead of me, she skinny, pretty,a really good actress, has a little more acting experience than i do, and i'm pretty sure she's auditioning for the same roles that i am. Someone PLEASE help me!!!!!

As one of your friends I think you are already doing a fabulous job at preparing yourself for the audition. You could be a little more snippier if you wanted, but try not to overpower it. You roll played it with me very well and hope you get the part that you want, instead of Taylor Dupeis. You just need to have alttile faith in youself. If you were meant to get the part, you will get it. I know what it feels like to be nervous so don't worry about it. I know your going to do extremely well. See yah @ school- LYLAS!!!!

The main thing is, don't over act it. Half of acting is reacting... Don't jump the gun on your reactions because you already know what you're going to say next. Wait for your cue line to be said to you before you react to it with your line :-) And try not to over emphasize more than one word per sentence.

Make your character real to you, do you know anyone like her? Your character might be mean because she's jealous and maybe she's jealous because (for example) she's actually hurt on the inside that she's not at successful as the other girl so this is how she acts out. Someone like this is hard on the outside, but very soft on the inside, but that' my opinion. You should make strong character choices of your own and stick with them. Unless the casting director tells you different, then adjust as necessary but worry About that IF it happens. Break a leg!

i could defiantly prepare a monologue. Have one that maximum suitable suits the movie and the character you auditioning for. whether you do no longer finally end up appearing your monologue, you nonetheless are arranged. :)
