In the 80's, did girls wear leggings underneath denim skirts?

I am going to an 80's party on Saturday and need to put together an outfit that won't cost a fortune. Please help!

I wore em! The leggings with the lace on the bottom with a skirt and a short tshirt . Or sometimes I wore black tights under a skirt and then I would wear 2 different colored socks (they were flourescent colors) like I would put a pink one on and then cover it with a green one, then on the other foot put the green one on first and then the pink one on, then fold them down so you can see them both. Or you could do leg warmers! You can crimp your hair too, that was big back then or just rat the heck out of it!

My fiancee from 1978-81 normally wore skirts, and in the rather cool climate here, she normally used tights - ecru or dark brown. No patterns and a smooth surface. For denim skirts she only used ecru. At that time ordinary pantyhoses was the normal, until she showed up I regarded tights as something to wear under pant only. During the 80's, the situation was more or less the same, although more colours and different textures. In the end of the eighthies there was a few years when girls wore brightly coloured leggins, with or without skirt. Some would change during the day by just taking the skirt on or off. The colours I remember for the leggins do not match denim skirts.

i think of it relies upon on the size of the skirt. A denim mini will look flashy with shoes that have heels. on the turn side, you could placed on a denim mini with sneaks and a geared up shirt and its ideal without the flash. A knee length or slightly shorter skirt may well be worn with in spite of form of shoe and shirt and not look flashy- without the leggings. revealed tights are severe high quality too! the climate would be changing quickly so which you would be wanting to have your legs coated. With the tights and perchance a severe high quality pair of leather-based boots, you could placed on you denim mini for the period of the previous due fall and wintry climate.

We wore these things that were the same material as tights but they stopped at the ankle instead of including a foot and the ankle was lace around it.. Usually white or black

i never did. i would have been more apt to wear slouchy socks and keds tennis shoes. i never really wore denim skirts. more denim jeans than anything else. Also overalls were very popular with my friends.

I like girls in jeans. It creates them look more city like and it generally does not appear to be they are trying too much but if you're looking to get this fellas attention, this might not be what you want

I really do enjoy wearing long skirts occasionally. They may be actually convenient than Denims rather than as hot to wear also.
