i think it's perfectly fine. i'm a straight male, and i know that if i was in the hospital, and a girl gave me flowers, i'd be really happy to know that she was thinking about me! :)

if you don't think that he'd like flowers, you could maybe bring him a book or a magazine or something to keep him occupied, cause i'm sure it's pretty boring in the hospital.

I think is a nice gesture, normally guys don't like flowers because they see them as a "girly symbol" . But because he is in the hospital he won't care is not like your sending him flowers to his job or school. If your not sure about it just deliver some basket fruit or chocolate if he can eat them. Good luck choosing.

Flowers are OK, but just a regular green plant would be better. It means the same thing without being to girly for a man.

well it is ok to give flowers to a guy if he is in the hospital .if a guy in you family is in the hospital im so sorry

Giving flowers when a man is in the hospital is perfectly acceptable, unless the fellow is uncomfortable with his own sexuality. You could also give him food that would not interfere with their recovery, as some people hate hospital food...

Yes! Also, you could get him some drinks he likes (gatorade, or whatever...) but it depends on what he can have. If he can manage reading he might like magazines. Hospital stays can be quite torcherous. You are very nice to be thinking of taking something.

Of course it is! What I like to do for men though is give them a houseplant with a few flowers mixed in...not girly and he has a plant when he is through.

Yes, but I bet he'd rather have Sports Illustrated magazines, crossword or word search books, anything to read about a subject he enjoys.
Oh, and guys like chocolate as much as girls :-)

it IS okay! every guy I have ever bought flowers for LOVES 'em! hehe.. they just don't let their guy friends know dat! get him a buncha wild flowers! and btw, that is VERY nice of you!
