Castor oil does NOT work for inducing labor, all it does is make you go to the bathroom.
Besides your baby will come when she is ready, or the dr will induce her. You can cause serious problems if you try yourself. Quit being selfish and think about your baby!!

Okay so here goes it...Castor Oil, in and of itself does not "induce" labor. It act's as a laxative, which - same as an enema, CAN (YES it can) start contractions... There are other things as well. Walking...alotta walking, this too can start labor. Then there's sexual intercourse, it can start labor, as well as nipple stimulation, it can start labor.

All of these things can start labor.... long ago, women use to take Castor Oil to start contractions, some midwives still reccomend it. It tastes HORRIBLE! But you can buy it, over the counter, at any drugstore.

Good Luck!

The worst it may be for you is you get the runs however it will probably make the youngster enormously in poor health if he/she has a bowel motion throughout hard work. There are different matters I could advise you seem into equivalent to teas (black/blue cohosh), acupuncture and I heard recent pineapple too can set off hard work. Hope this is helping and well good fortune.

Usually a drug store will have it - try Walgreens. I know two women personally that castor oil did work for, though they spent a lot of time on the toilet before the contractions began. Hope it works for you!

Health food or drug stores, but I've heard that it doesn't work that well, just can cause uncomfortable diarrhea and cramping. Have you tried sex? That's supposed to be the best way. Taking long walks? I used this tea called Mother-To-Be. It really helped with contraction pains, too. (Compared to my first.) It will come soon and so will the lack of sleep. :)

Don't use it. It can also cause the baby to have a bowel movement while still inside the womb and it can swollen it and be life threatening to the child.
