Because the media has an agenda and none of the fine examples you just gave fit into it. In other words, don't confuse them with the facts.

If you really look at the socioeconomical advances since the 1860's, this is trully a horrific event. Yes, murders were wrong then, but it was also a time and era when the 2nd Ammendment was intended to protect yourself in an unruly time.
Now with the culture that we live now with seatbelts and warning labels on coffee cups, etc. This is an exceptional skew from mainstream behavior in the 21st century.
Also, whenever white people get murdered, it tends to tug on the mass' American's heart strings. Sad but true.

the vt murders were bad just like any murder or mass murder how do you get off saying that it was the worst in modern history when clearly more people died in you other instances... what about the holocaust and wars their is no worst ; 9/11 killed many more people; americans have had typically a short memory span in the future we may not be able to have the selffish option available to us in the future. hopefully we will be able to learn from these experience and not encourage others to act out in some crazy anger-murder-homicide publicity after death thing that will be glamourized by those who might do the same thing or fantazize about such things ....

The worst murders in modern time are happening right now in Iraq. Both US military and Iraqi citizens are dying every day. You don't see it in the news because George W won't let the flag draped coffins of our people coming home be shown on TV. George W Bush is responsible for killing more Iraqis than Saddam ever killed in the same time frame.
Proof there is no god or George would be struck down.

you particularly tutor your stupidity interior the way which you worded this. it is obvious which you're only desiring interest and you purely choose to make certain human beings's reactions. nicely, sturdy job! I word which you bought what you needless to say wanted.......Making weapons unlawful won't stop human beings from killing one yet another......duh?! What approximately crime prevention? How could our regulation enforcement officers of each and every type be waiting to preserve themselves or others? there have been "weapons" because of the fact the beginning up of time, whether it hasn't continually been equipment. i come across it absurd which you're able to even attempt to downplay the Virginia Tech massacre. specific, our medies takes an just about weirdo satisfaction in conversing approximately it for days upon ends, yet what do you anticipate? this is background! comprehend? What are you going to assert next? enable'S MAKE drugs unlawful! Oh, yeah.......that already exists and human beings push aside that regulation. hi?! Controlling weapons throug regulation is just about impossible. all and sundry with an inkling of intelligence can understand that. a much-fetched answer could desire to be to show screen gun utilization. purely enable specific persons to hold them, lead them to conflict by way of some form of in depth coaching and do a background. Get genuine dude.

The statement has been made that the VT murders were the worst mass murder ON A COLLEGE CAMPUS. I don't remember anyone saying it was the worst mass murder in general. In modern times, that would have to be the World Trade Center attack.

Perhaps that is what they meant...in modern history. I also think its sad that there are many others dying every day in other cases that rarely get mentioned in the news, although I feel terrible for the Virginia Tech victims.

I know what you mean. I believe a couple hundred died in the Beslan School Massacre in Russia, but nobody talks about that. Our great American media just loves to only talk about it's own country.

Because the victor writes the history books brother. There was no massacre at wounded knee in the American eye - just patriots killing savages.
