Trina’s heart was pounding as she looked at the man standing in front of her. He wasn’t what one might call handsome as his face was very weathered, possibly from being out in the sun a lot, but there was something soothing about him and she was certainly intrigued.

“Hello and welcome to Baskets Galore, I’m Trina, how may I help you?” she asked as he looked at the variety of gift baskets that were arranged on the counter. He looked up at her and smiled. “Hi Trina, my name is John, and I need a gift for a young lady who is turning 12 next week, what do you suggest?” he said. “If you can tell me what types of things she likes, I can make some suggestions” replied Trina. “Well, she’s crazy about horses, but I’m pretty certain her parents would be upset with me if I gave her a live one, so I hope you have something that we can substitute for it” he answered. “You’re in luck as we happen to have one basket available that is for young horse lovers. It has a certificate for Adopt a Wild Mustang, she wouldn’t actually get a horse, but she will become the sponsorship for a horse in need, a silver bracelet with horses on it, and other horse lover items” she suggested. “OMG…yes!” John exclaimed. “It’s a perfect gift for her.” As they were finalizing the order, John’s cell phone rang.

“Excuse me” he said as answered his phone. “John here” he said into the phone. There was silence for a brief moment and then John said “Not on MY watch! Please tell the men that I need 10 lousy minutes!” he said as he hung up the phone.

“Sorry, but I’m the new Fire Chief for Engine 38. Today’s my day off, but were having a chili cook off and I’m doing my famous recipe. One of the guys wanted to use hamburger in the recipe, but for really good chili, you have to use Top Sirloin. I need to get back to the station before someone ruins everything” he said.

Trina rang up the sale of the gift basket and John thanked her for her help. “I hope I’m not being forward, but if you’re not doing anything later tonight, why not stop by the station for some chili and to meet Exit” he said. “Did you say Exit?” she asked. John laughed and said “Exit is our mascot. The last fire chief was a real nut for the old Snagglepuss cartoon show. He was always saying “Exit, stage left” and when we adopted a dog for the station everyone put a name suggestion in the jar and Exit was the name picked. There was no need to ask who suggested Exit, as we all knew” he said with real affection in his voice.

Trina could tell from the brief time that they were together that John was a caring individual. “I would love to stop by the station later” she said and silently added because I adore you. They said their good-byes and he left the shop with the gift basket. She went about her normal business making other baskets and helping customers, but her mind was not fully focus as she found herself watching the clock and wishing it was time to the chili cook off, as she was certain there would be more than chili heating up.

Scarlett replied,"Darling, I adore you, but she already warned us, not on MY watch! We cannot blame her for wanting our attention." Rhett could say no more, so he told Bonnie,"Please, sweetie, exit...stage left, and we'll handle this another time."

"Exit...stage left" he barks at me. My heart pounding, I quickly make my way off stage. "OMG...yes!", I scream inside as I hurry down the stairs towards his dressing room. As I open the door, I see him standing there. "I adore you" I say as I slowly make my way towards him. Just as he reaches out to me, I feel a cold uncaring hand on my shoulder. "Not on my watch" I hear a gruff voice say. "I need 10 lousy minutes" I explain, as I begin to disrobe.

All he ever feed his beagle used to be bagels. quickly after the beagle bought very ill, so the landlord took him to the veternarian's workplace and learned he had bugle disorder. Now the landlord not ever feeds his beagle bagels. ahahha desire i helped! x
