This will be my very first time travelling out of the country. I will be departing from Los Angeles directly to London, arriving at 3am California time. I will be heading to West End to my hotel. Even though the shuttle will cost me a bit more, is it worth it opposed to the rumoured craziness of the Tube?

If it's your first time to London then I suggest the shuttle. You'll get to see much more of London than from taking the tube.

in case you may leave your bags on the airport then you definately can take the Underground directly to considered necessary London. Trains are very regularly occurring, its greater low priced than the bus and in spite of the undeniable fact that its fairly sluggish (over an hour) its direct and not plagued by site visitors because of the fact the bus could be. that's extremely busy in rush hour in spite of the undeniable fact that, and not reported with bags. The Heathrow show could not likely supply an benefit in time. It takes 15 minutues yet dumps you at Paddington meaning a minimum of two Underground traces to assert Picadilly - hopeless.

My advice is to always take the Tube. It's faster, cheaper, and will be perfectly safe and not too crowded around mid-day. Look up your route online before getting on the plane so that when you get out of the airport you can buy your ticket and go. Then, you have all afternoon to explore London, and you'll have devirginized yourself for the Tube lol, so you'll be ready to go anywhere.

It really depends where your hotel is located. The Tube is direct and easy, fast (no traffic), however if you require several exchanges once in London proper, then perhaps the shuttle bus is best. I still prefer the Tube.

First in LONDON will be 11:00 am. Start forgetting CA time.

You are NOW 8 hours ahead, ready for lunch!!!

Shuttle is convenient, mostly taking into account your long trip.

But the Tube is fun. Then again, you will enjoy it later.

If the shuttle takes you direct to your hotel, that's the best. You can experienced the tube when you have adjusted your jet lag and without your bags. Not all tube stations have lifts, but may have a pickpocket lurking somewhere....
