Title: Motel Nebraska
Characters: Skippy Malone- manager of the motel, Felicia Malone - Skippy's teenage daughter, Arnold Granger - town troublemaker, Langston P. Carson and his wife Sharon - motel guests from Iowa, Zelda Hodtwalker - room service.
Setting: 1950's, an old motel in a small town forty miles west of Omaha. Winter.

The above characters are stranded at the motel due to a blizzard. High winds have knocked out electrical power. Tensions run high because Arnold recognizes Langston as the schoolteacher who molested him before his family moved away from Des Moines to Nebraska. Skippy and Felicia are still grieving from the loss of wife/mother Carol, a victim of breast cancer. And what of Zelda? She's always had a thing for Skippy. Zelda just happens to keep a Colt .45 pistol in her purse. Arnold, asking Zelda to bum him a cigarette, spots the pistol when Zelda is fumbling through her purse. Will Arnold swipe the pistol and use it on Langston?

You can get ideas from anywhere around you. Usually the title has to do with a challenge the main character faces or an object that is important in the story. The setting has to agree with the plot and the action.

take a creative writting class for fun to get the creative jucies flowing. think about movies or TV shows that you think can be improved and improve them. Theres a ton of movies and shows i've seen that i use the plot line to get me started (ie. national treasure, holiday in your heart, freaky friday) though titles, i can't give ya since I don't come up with mine until i'm well into writing my stories. If you have enough creativity, you can just start writing and characters and names will soon just start coming to you.

Though another way to get characters is take your friends names and rearrange their names: putting their first names with anothers last name or you can use celebs.
