Of course. The pill is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy.

According to Planned Parenthood's website:
"The pill is one of the most effective reversible methods of birth control. Of 100 women who use the pill, only eight will become pregnant during the first year of typical use. Fewer than one will become pregnant with perfect use."

Yes. They are about 99% effective when taken the right way, but if she takes them too far apart and misses pills, then the pill becomes much less effective and she can get pregnant. Also, if she weighs more than 155 pounds, then the pill becomes less effective. The only birth control method that is 100% is abstinence, unfortunately. If you don't want a pregnancy then make sure you use a back up method like condoms, spermicides or a diaphragm.

yes it is possible, nothing is a 100% accurate. If you don't take the pills at the same time everyday, if you skip a pill, if you miss a pill, these are ways you can get pregnant. That is why it is always better to use two types of protection. Just b/c you are on the pill doesn't mean you won't get pregnant. i was on the pill when my first born was conceived. I had a wacky schedule and took my pills at different times of the day. Also i was using a condom but somehow I managed to get pregnant, so anything is possible.

Yes! Birth control is to help keep you from getting pregnant, but it just like other products is not 100% that you will not get pregnant. You still want to take birth control pill if you are a teenager or not ready for a child, but you will also want to use other protection. Condoms help protect you from diseases, but they also help keep you from getting pregnant IF you are taking birth control. There are several ways to keeps yourself from getting sexual diseases here are my main three I think teens should know; condoms, keeping your vagina/penis clean, and/or DON"T HAVE SEX AT ALL!!!!!
