Me and my boyfriend went to Cici's the other day and the workers were doing something that really annoyed us. We were sitting at our table enjoying our meal when someone came around holding a pizza in her hand and she asked us if we wanted a slice of hamburger pizza. We said no so she went on to the next table. A few minutes later someone else came around holding a cheese pizza and asked us if we wanted a slice, once again we said no, and this time me and my boyfriend were getting annoyed because we didn't like being interrupted so much. Low and behold, a few minutes later, someone came to our table holding a pitcher of Coke and asked us if we wanted some, we said no. We weren't even drinking Coke!! Me and my boyfriend hurried up and scarfed down the rest of the meal because we were dying to LEAVE!

Why would they do this? I like going to Cici's because you can get what you want when you want it. It was like they were trying to shove it down our throats!!

It was no where near closing time we got there around 5:30. I really hope they don't start doing that all the time too

Was it closing time? Sometimes, they'll do that at closing time. Otherwise, I don't know. I've never had that happen to me there except at closing time. Maybe they consider that "customer service." What's always annoyed me at Cici's is when you walk in the door, everyone screams "Welcome to Cici's." And when you leave, they all scream "Thank you" or something to that effect. What I've always like about Cici's is you go in, pay for your meal and don't have to be bothered anymore since you can get your food and drink without anyone's assistance. I hope they don't start doing what you said all the time!!

Sounds like they were trying to a) correct a bad customer service report, b) trying to get people to try pizza that they might not have tried before, or c) punishing their workers in a cruel and inhumane fashion. They probably got bad marks for not being "friendly" enough. If it wasn't terribly long ago, perhaps a call to the manager to complain about being pestered during your meal will change that practice. I wouldn't want to eat there either if they did that.

Sounds like they were just trying to be "customer friendly" but with a bit of overkill... Usually you only get that at really swanky places where each time you get a drink of water a little lady appears with a water pitcher to top you off!

Duh, its a marketing strategy. They are offering free tastes of what they serve in the hopes you may return and order one of them! Anybody else would be thrilled to be offered free food...and there's be no need to be rude to someone who is only doing his/her job. I find it difficult to believe that someone would actually get upset or irritated by a free offer as well as be rude about it. Id hate to be a server who had to actually wait on your table...Im willing to bet youre a bad tipper too, huh? I have one more thought: if the interruptions were the problem, then maybe inst of going to a family restaurant, you should have got a room!

The servers are told to do this. It's their job to try and get you to take more and spend more money.
