If you are asking TO where do cars get towed, the answer is depends upon WHY they're being towed? If they've broken down, they are either on the way to the repair shop, a mechanic's shop, to the owner's home, or to the junkyard. If they're being impounded, they end up in the impound yard (usually near the police station). If they're being re-poed, they end up at the repo man's yard.
If you're asking, to WHERE they get HOOKED, the answer is depends upon whether they are front-drive or rear-drive vehicles? Usually, although not always, they are towed with the driven wheels off the ground.
Hope this answers your question!

That depends on why they are being towed. If they are illegally parked or taken by the police they will be taken to the police impound yard. IF they have had a mechanical problem, they will be towed to a service garage or where ever the owner tells the driver to tow it.
