I am in a fantasy league, and shortstop is my weakest position.
I have 3: Felipe Lopez, J.J. Hardy, and Stephen Drew.
who should I play, and why?
also, is there any free agent who I should try to pick up who might not be taken?

All 3 of those guys offer you a lot of options...they all have potential to be very good this year. So far Lopez is having a disappointing season and is on a very bad team that isn't going to give him many opportunities to score and drive in runs. J.J. Hardy, is probably your best bet right now. He's on a good streak right now on a very good team. Stephen Drew has the guys around him to get good numbers but is slumping right now. So personally I'd definitely hold on to Lopez in case he comes back to 2006 flair, but I'd leave Hardy in as your starter for now.

You have an interesting position. All of your shortstops are young and have enormous potential. I'd keep them unless you have another positional need. Of the three, Lopez is going to be the most solid, so play him now.

I would say Hardy has the most upside, and one of the three you have is likely to break out at some point in the season, as all have great internals and are starting for their respective teams.

As of right now, JJ Hardy is performing very well. He is out performing both Lopez and Drew. Honestly, I think I could outperform Stephen Drew as of right now. Lopez edges Hardy in the batting average category, but Hardy beats him everywhere else.

Depends on the rest of your roster. If you need someone to steal bases then you will want to go with Lopez, if you are looking for better overall offensive numbers then go with Hardy. Follow Drew and see when he gets comfortable with major league pitching....he could finish the year as the best of this group.
