I want to move my triops into a new tank. It has a fake plant in it. Will my triops try and eat this plant and get sick? I don't want to kill them. Please let me know if i should get rid of the plant! Thank you!

Fake plants to the triops are like cookie shaped fridge magnets to us humans.

There is no smell or taste of the actual plant, the triops would never foolishly chomp down tasteless matter.

So keep the fake plant and don't worry unnecessarily.

As long as it's a silk or plastic plant made for an aquarium, it shouldn't try and eat it. They will eat live plants that are put in their tanks, though.
