The most fascinating and most exciting cricket world cup ever was according to me the World Cup of 1983, in which although India were bowled out for a modest total of 183, which is the lowest team total in the final in the history of cricket world cup, India bowled out the mighty West Indies for 140 runs and won th4e cup by 43 runs.

From all that I have watched or followed, I believe the 1999 World Cup was the best one. The current World Cup is the second best one.

Yes you are probably right. Australia and WI not playing in Lanka and Pakistan the then reigning champion out in the quarter final and India losing to Sri Lankans at Calcutta in a shameful manner then Australians crushing every team on their way to final in Lahore and then Sri Lankans playing perhaps the best game of that tournament to beat them by the margin of 7 wickets.

this current one. bob wolmer's death, India and Pakistan not qualifying for the next round, six sixes in an over, the close and exciting finishes between England and West Indies, England and Sri Lanka. this world cup is full of drama and it is not over as yet.
