ok i posted a question earlier and i dont think it got answered properly so im going to ask but in a different way...
Ok when i went for my ultra sound they said that my conception date should of been nov 30th... and that my last period was the 16th of nov .. so could it be possible to have gotten pregnant on Dec 14th and not nov30th?...

i dont really know when my last period was but the 16th sounds right to me... because my sister in law gets hers same time as me and she gets hers around that date...

They count pregnancy from the first day of your last period however it is around two weeks after your period when you actually concieve, if the ultra sound is saying you got pregnant around the end of nov then this is most likely right as the scans are pretty accurate early on for dating, if you actually got pregnant on the 14th December then you would be a month less than your dates however I really doubt the hospital would have got it wrong

If your last period was around the 16th of Nov. I highly doubt you got pregnant on Dec. 14th. You get pregnant when you're ovulating, which happens about 2 weeks before your next period. So Nov 30th sounds about right.

If your last period was on Nov 16, then you would have most likely ovulated on Nov 30 if you have a 28 day cycle. Dating off an ultrasound can be very accurate because they take measurements that correspond to stages of development that happen at very exact times during a pregnancy.

Ovulation normally takes place around the 14th day if you have a 28 day cycle. But I guess more accurately, the ovulation happens around 14 days before the first day of your next cycle. So if you normally have a longer cycle then count back. Of course, the ultrasound will tell you the gestation age of your baby and from that you can tell the date of conception. Another good way of guessing, is by remembering it on what days you probably had sex ;) Hope that was helpful.

You ovulate 1-2 weeks before your period is supposed to start so that would mean your conception date IS Nov. 30.

its unlikely that you would have conceived on Dec. 14th because you would have ovulated on or around Nov. 30th. For you to have concieved that late in your cycle you would have to have an irregular period, but most likely it wasnt Dec. 14th that you got pregnant.

The question is, does it really even matter now. Who cares, the fact is that you are pregnant...
