No, should the UK face war crimes trials for the occupation of NI and the atrocities commited by the armed forces, in Derry in 1972.

Martin McGuiness may be a vicious man, but he was fighting for what he belived in.

The Irish Republican Army thought of itself as an army in the true sense of the word, and therefore do not consider any of thier actions as criminal. They wished to be treated as prisoners of war when capture or convicted. This was overuled by sucsesive british governments and treated them as terrorists.
Martin Mcguiness sees himself as a freedom fighter, although depending upon which side you are on depends on you interpritation of this.War crimes?maybe.I would however like to tell you a little store about mr Mcguiness,A good friend of mine whilst serving in the province whilst out drinking off duty got into a little bar brawl and had a certain mr mcguiness over a table punching the s--t out of him.at the time he didnt know who he was punching but only found out a day or so later.

And what about the Black and Tan's that the British

Government sent in to slaughter the Catholics,

The I.R.A were Freedom fighters.

Maybe Britain should apologise publicly to the Irish

Catholics for the atrocities that was done to the Irish people.

I would certainly like an apology on behalf of my Mothers

Uncle Captain John Murray who was executed in Mountjoy

Prison by an English Firing Squad.

Such crimes were committed on both sides. Rather than dragging up the past I think it's better that all parties work together for a just and lasting peace in Northern Ireland.

one thing you should all remember is this man admitted freely on the television to the help in attacking British soldiers then has the audacity to walk into our houses of Parliament, i do believe guy Fawkes was hung for something similar.
mcguiness is nothing more than a gutless coward, and a liar who ordered executions and punishment beatings on his own people so in my opinion no leave him with his conscience hopefully he'll pull the trigger himself one day and do us all a favour.

Give us undisbuted facts that he did anything relating to war crimes................
You can't d**bf**k
How about you put the people on trial giving money to the loyalist para's first
And how about actually disciplining the soldiers who took part in BS, instead of them being decorated by the queen for gunning down unarmed teenagers in the back, if you are going to being putting people on trial for war crimes, do it in order, the right way

Don't know about war crimes, but he is certainly ex para military and a killer. Would scupper the peace though, so perhaps this time, we should look the other way.

He committed no war crimes but did what anyone would do if their country was occupied by a foreign army. He fought back.
