Women seem more likely to bargain hunt, but often buy things they don't REALLY need just because it's on sale. Factor in all the time and gas spent on going to various shops to find those deals and the woman ends up not saving any money at all. Men usually go directly to the place that has the item they're looking for, buy ONLY that item regardless of whatever else is on sale, and come straight back, saving time and gas.
No, I'm not saying this is EVERY woman or man, notice I used the phrases, "seem more likely" and "usually"!

I spend money well and I am a woman. But , these days I tend to think men are better than woman at shopping because some women have to have a purse and shoe for every outfit. They have to have expensive shampoos, jewelry, and makeup. There hair, nail, and toes have to be done. Wherein a man would chuck out $300 for a PlayStation and be done. But in the end it measures out to be equal even though woman buy more.

Who needs that many shoes anyway? In the end looks are only filling a need that will never be satisfied anyway. Ofcourse some men like blowing cash on looks as well- giant lift kit for the truck, things he'll never use that cost even more than shoes. Kind of a difficult question, I think that one should be left to the professional pollers.

Women, and I speak from experience. I know that I can easily spend 300 dollars in the mall within 20 minutes of being in a store.

Most of the time the women I know are much better with money than I am. I blow my paycheck as fast as I can it seems. If only I could overcome the urge to spend money.

I don't think it has anything to do with gender. I've seen both men and woman who know how to spend money and remain frugal at the same time. I've also see people (of both genders) spend money like drunken sailors and then wonder why they have none.
