This seems pretty silly but what is the purpose of this point system? Is there some kind of prize we win if we get so many? I highly doubt it but it would be interesting to know why it is there. Maybe for those who love collecting worthless stuff......maybe.

on yahoos 1 year aniversity the gave prizes acording to points, I got a ball cap.

Bragging rights, but also the more you get the more questions and things you get to do dialy on here.
Go to your profile and press the ? beside Total points in bold under activity summary. If it isn't there, make sure beside your picture up top it says your e-mail and its not on public view.

i would imagine if you ask too many questions and never answer questions then your points would run out. Therefore, making it impossible to ask a question until you have answered a question or 2. If you get a lot, it just builds up your reputation or somethin.

more points = more popularity on Yahoo! answers, and you might get fans if you get enough best answers!...also you earn points to spend them (answer to ask)...
