Just becasuse your religion accepts this behavior.. what about your own personal morals? It is moraly wrong to cheat. Im sure if you were to tell your wife she would say to go ahead, because it is expected of her. That does not mean she agrees with it.

Someone or something influenced him to his acedemic fervor. That someone could possibly be you; however I doubt it with the way you speak of your loins as some golden rod of power.
