Yes it is, unfortunately most people misinterpret the saying.
It means that physical beauty is only on the surface but a person that is an ugly, unpleasant miserable human being is that way all the way through.

This statement is not true. A lot of ugly people have a hard time excepting the fact that they are ugly because inside they see themselves as beautiful whereas attractive people often feel like they don't live up to that "perfect" image of beauty that the media throws in our face every day. No matter how good looking they are they will always find some flaw with their body.

Yes,
If you are kind and not very pretty you will be beautiful in the eyes of people who care.
Beauty is only skin deep because it sells and some people are really mean because the know they are pretty.
However, there are very pretty people who are nice and mean people who are ugly I;m not saying you are but, please do not stereotype "pretty people" or "ugly people."

'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' so shallow people see skin deep beauty, and deep people don't look for ugly, but sames same when shallow people see hallow people, see were i'm going. So no its not true or false.

I think so. 'Ugly' ppl will be mean and negative for their whole lives but ppl who realize that beauty is only skin deep,will look for the goodness in themselves and others.

I think it is, because if u have an ugly personality, then life becomes ugly, and u become ugly in everyone elses eyes, even if u have a pretty face.

yes...im not very pretty but i attract many people because i have "a soul of a saint" as some people have said. My smile isnt pretty but it still can brighten up someone's day...i've met some very very pretty people but they were so mean and snobby...i'd never call them beautiful because they're only beautiful on the outside
