I want to be the best person I can for myself. I mean, I want to do it for God too, but sometimes I feel like I can't live up to everything He wants me to be. I feel like I put a weight on myself to be absolutely perfect for Him, and then it's hard to live day by day being careful of everything that I do. I know everyone makes mistakes, but I worry so much about it and I don't know what to do. Please help!

Lemme get this straight....the diameter of the Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light years, exceeds ordinary human comprehension...right? a time interval vastly greater than all of human history.

Another thousand times farther takes us to distant cluster of galaxies, but even then, that would be less than one ten-thousandths of a percent of the observable Universe. We are mere specks in an abyss of time and space.

With that backgroud, you're telling me that there's a supernatural being or sentient lifeform out there that's worried about whether you're good enough?....don't make me laugh.

Did you know that there's a certain percentage of scientists who believe in God, even Einstein spoke of him often. But the greatest number of non-believing scientists are the astonomers.

The hundred billion galaxies of our visible universe, each with a hundred billion stars, makes us but a grain of sand on the Sahara, grown out of that original "pure vacuum" or nothingness.

This might help. There are also "sins of omission" or things we do wrong that we don't even know about. Stepping on a tiny catepillar on the sidewalk for example, which could have fed a bird, which would have fed the nest and so on. You cannot be your own judge and jury since you can never know with absolute certainty how your actions are affecting others. Also, God does not think "think" like you and I - the Bible bears this out. I also believe God does not consider us by degrees, such as "good enough" since there is no partiality in God. Who could possibly be that ultimately good? I would say if you feel something is wrong, stop and get help. If you cannot, then ask God to take it on with complete faith that God will answer that prayer. Then it is no longer your problem, it will be God's to sort out how to best fix you. I truly believe some of our "warts" are for our benefit in patience and humilty (such as disabilities) and to simply let God shine in our weaknesses - not sins - weaknesses.

"MY burden is easy and MY yoke is light." God...

"You are made in MY image." God...

" None are righteous, no, not one. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." God...

Whatever your personal issue is with the feeling that you are not good enough... has absolutely nothing to do with Him.

That is common practice and misconception for Christians though...

"If you don't praise my name the rocks will cry out in your stead." God.

He doesn't need you... (A frightening concept for some, and peace for others.) Everything you are supposed to do, Jesus already did for you and believing anything else in lieu of any perfection you could obtain on your own steam or merit: Completely negates the entire process of the Crucifixion...

We just like to believe it controls things when WE DECIDE whatever state or condition we end up in as a result of either praise and obedience or rebellion and sin. It doesn't... Not to the extreme people assume it does anyway.

"His mercy endureth forever." That means no matter what you do. No one knows that better than the Jews while wandering in the wilderness... They complained, and sinned and worshipped idols and bitched and whined and God... Always forgave them... They suffered as a result. But that is how we learn...

Jesus was enough for me and I do not negate everything He achieved on that day by the assumption that anything I would or could do, can change that in any way..

"God looks on the Heart." and... "He knew you before the foundations of the earth." "You are worth many sparrows."

If he decided to save our sorry butts anyway considering what and who most of us are... I think He knows what He is doing?

We really are not all that important in the big scheme of things... Only Jehova Witnesses believe that salvation is gained by "Works." Salvation they already have through the blood of Jesus.

It's is a form of Pride to assume anything else if you ask me.

You're enough, trust me on that. God created human beings in His likeness. Therefore, we are perfect, we are the perfection that is God manifested in human form. This means that we have God's power in us.

You can be whatever you want, whomever you want. God does not make us do things. God gave us the free will to do what we want. I think that it is you who has set your standards unrealistically high that you are having trouble achieving them.

Though we are created to perfection, we have the sin of Adam and Eve tainting us, so, all we can do is be the best we can, ask for redemption and help from God to overcome temptations. For us, absolute perfection is impossible because of the sin at the garden of Eden. "The sins of the father become...."

You are not doing this for God Loreana. God already thinks that you are perfect.

The nonsense that you are speaking of comes from religion.

This is a christian thing. Buddhism tells us that everything is perfect just as it is and needs nothing but our realization of this fact.

Christianity tells us that nearly everything is wrong or bad and needs to be fixed. The Christians assume that God was incapable of making a perfect world.

You need to ask your self how likely is this.

Do you feel you are not good enough? Congratulations, because that's the first step toward self-knowledge!

Have you heard about His grace? We, human beings, are never good enough to meet His standards. We are too weak and sinful. That's why He sent His only Son (i.e. Jesus) to redeem us by paying our sins through His death on the cross....

Now, if you believe this, you can accept Jesus as your Saviour, you are saved and get eternal life. Meet a trustworthy pastor, go to a good church.

If you have done all these in the past, the only thing is you should always back to His grace and let His Spirit fill your heart and mind.

No. No, it extremely isn't any longer. "Nowhere is the observe God general because of the fact the only evidence of existence of God. God reported that "you shall understand me from my creation". So seem around you to the tip of the uniuverse and notice if the info is sufficient sufficient. seem into the eyes of a baby. seem directly to an elementary blade of grease and notice its ask your self. seem into human and animal love and notice its magic. OPEN YOUR EYES." The philosophical equivalent of toddler communicate. while i seem into the eyes of a baby, I see a larval individual which i'm programmed to love and guard. while i seem at an elementary blade of grass, I see a for sure-developed photosynthesis gadget encumbered with silicates. while i seem at love, I see no magic, yet emotion. merely like hate. Your "arguments" are insultingly pathetic.

God knows everything (who you are, your obstacles). So don't worry. Honesty counts. God said better be hot or cold, not in between-warm. God doesn't like manipulative, wicked people. If you honestly try your best, according to 10 commandmends, it is what counts. And ofcourse I can not know what God thinks.

Just focus on worshipping and praising God, despite your sin. Then He will come to you and you will overcome your problems. When you understand God's grace, then the burden you say you feel will be lifted. So pray for God to show you his grace and that you might understand that.
