How many digits will the number 6^(712) have , given log 6 =0.778 ?


How do i go about it

please explain . please explain ..dont just give the solution .

i dont understand how can co-relate logirithm with number of digits .

If you have a solution , please explain the steps why are doing that way .

well, let me start this way say Z=6^(712)

taking log , log z=712 log 6

does it mean something ? no , i dont think ...i cant corelate this logirithim with the number of digits in the final outcome number.



If anybody have solution , please let me know.

log z=712 log 6 is true.
log z=712*0,778
logz=553,936

10^553,936=z

554 digits

log base 10 gives you the number of digits.

log z= 712 log 6 = 712 * 0.778 = 553.936

So the number has 553 digits.
