Well I wouldn't bring a boat, I wouldn't mind the peace and quite. I would bring other things like a battery powered radio and, rain gear and some matches, lighter or flint.
Dead god no boat thought, I would just think of it as a needed vacation.

Not a boat. I'd love to be deserted on an island. I'd bring a bunch of friends, a lifetime supply of margarita's and food.

I want these 3 things
1. a fully equipped condo with maid and laundry service
2. a super center next door that never runs out of my favorite things
3. super fast dsl so I can still answer questions on Yahoo without the noise of my pesty neighbors

Because you'd figure they want you to stay there and enjoy the scenery.
Which would be quite nice, and you're in a quiet area away from civilization.
