Jot me down in the 'major fan' column, with regards to 'The Creature From the Black Lagoon' (although I did not care for the direction they took with the Gill Man, in the. film 'The Creature Walks Among Us').
...I tend to agree that the Gill Man was one of a trio of underappreciated Universal horror icons, and undeservedly was played off as sorta second-fiddle to the more recognized Frankenstein Monster, Wolfman, Dracula and the Mummy (the other two being the 'Captive Wild Woman' series.....Aquanetta was a rather strikingly beautiful woman, that is before she turned into a gorilla.....and leave us not forget Rondo Hatten's 'Creeper' character).
However, the Creature may finally get his just due; director Breck Eisner, the son of Michael Eisner (the ex-Disney CEO), is on the fast track to produce and direct an updated contemporary version of The Creature from the Black Lagoon. The screenplay is being written by Gary Ross, whose father wrote the screenplay for the original Creature.
Word has it, they are scouting locations, at this time; casting has yet to be announced.
I'd say, stay tuned.....

i like the form you asked for unique and a few human beings spoke back with a crap remake haha. besides listed right here are a number of my favs; The Shining, A tale of two Sisters, Spider wooded area, The Exorcist, final living house on the Left (unique needless to say), humorous video games (unique), Black Christmas (unique), The Changling, The Birds, Basket Case, conflict Royale (this could be drama), guy Bites canines, and so on, there are too many to record. particularly something nicely carried out with a plot that hasn't been used a million situations (or a minimum of wasn't used while the action picture develop into initially released), with form and is not thoroughly reliant on not something yet gore tochronic the whole action picture.

It's a pretty well done movie. By the way, if you want to see a VERY early appearance by Clint Eastwood in a movie, rent "Revenge Of The Creature"...Clint plays a lab technician in a short scene, uncredited, and it was his first appearance on film.

Great film with an excellent cast! I was only 11 years old when I first saw it in 1954, but who could ever forget Julie Adams in her custom-made swimsuit!!!
