I too received such a mail. I seriously asked someone living in UK to verify details on my behalf, etc. It is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!! sOON, they will ask you to deposit a small sum , say a mere $2000.oo as handling charges, in a bank account that they will direct you to deposit. As the Bank is genuine and reputed, you will be tempted. DON'T! Do NOT succumb to greed. Think. Why would anyone, out of the blue, contact you and say you have won a Lottery? Did you ever participate in a Lottery? Be honest! How can you win a lotteryu, when you did not even apply and buy a lottery ticket? Save your hard-earned money, Man! I could ill-afford to lose even $2000.00 that they wanted me to send them! Thank God, I did not do so. Now more and more scams---of Nigerians in Delhi doing exactly this scam---have come to light. Five fellows have been caught and jailed at different times, recently.

I have never heard of a lottery run by Yahoo to be genuine...it's most definitely a scam. Here is something else to watch out for while you are on line. Yahoo marketing questions...if you answer all and correctly...you will win a prize.

No organisation sends you lottery information. This is a scam. Report it to abuse@yahoo.com, do not open any attachments. Yahoo will probably want the full headers from the email.
