I think he is and one of the fastest I have ever seen.

Impossible to say who the top guitarists are,all I can say,is that he's one of the best I've heard.most session men are also very,very good. \doc has had a big reputation among country and folk fans as a accomplished musician.
Especially on guitar. Seems,unusually,he started off on electric,then went to acoustic guitar.

He is very good but there are others who are equally as good as just as fast. My favorite is Stanley Jordan. I own all of his CD's.
