what is the consequece of a faulty or missing enzyme?

You have a general question and there is good general answer. As you have to know, enzymes are certain proteins that catalyze metabolic reactions. They get a substrate and turn it to a product by certain reactions. If an enzyme does not work well, or there is a lack of the enzyme in body, then the product cant be produced. The lack of this product may cause a serious disease. Also the substrate may increase in the body, and cause another disease. I think you cant get the most points by this answer!

Could be cause of Alzheimer's , muscular diseases like als google it, too many to list.
