The little pillows that go on your couch?

Check the tag for washing instructions. But they can probably be put into the washer. The only problem is they might create unbalanced loads. Put them in with some towels or something so they will balance. Since they are thick it might take longer for them to dry. Maybe hang them out in the sun to dry more thoroughly.

Some pillows can be washed, but they are goofy. A foam pillow can feel perfectly dry outside and still hold a gallon or so of water. The foam can get turned around and there is no way to turn it straight again. I never tried to wash any other kind. Pillows are cheap: if yours stinks, it was time to replace it anyway. Remember, you breathe whatever grows in there.

Only use a front load washer, not an agitator washer (most are agitators)
Put in a very large dryer and fluff up for about 15 min. and then let air dry. I also use this way to wash my pillows on my bed.

As long as it's not velour or any sort of leather or suede or something that cannot be laundered, you could probably wash it in a normal machine. If you're concerned about it, you could take it to a dry cleaner, and they'll do it for you.

put it in a pillowcase and wash it in the washer on a low setting (handwash if you have the setting). when you dry it, keep it in the pillowcase, but add tennis balls to the dryer... this will keep it fluffy! the tennis balls also work for comforters and stuffed animals.

I put mine in the washer and they came out fine. My mistake was putting them in the dryer, they got all balled up.
