If you were to pass away unexpectedly? This is a question everyone should consider and make arrangements for.

My sis & I have arrangements passing them to each other in our wills and papers amoung our important papers suggesting what each sib should do.(this way a will change isn't needed with addition pets). If you have purebreds or compotion dogs that may have value it's VERY important to make provisions for paper transfer. Our dog club has had several members die and if such provisions are not made --- one pair is still awating a forever home almost a year later because the legal entagalments.....

Well if I were dead, and I loved an animal of mine, I am sure my mom would take care of it for me. Espeacially in the sense that it was my most beloved pet. I mean that would be like a remeberance of me probably.

My mother she cares for my brother's dog after he died, and if not her it would be my family or boyfriend. My mom already knows and we talked about it. Just in case God forbid.
