Yes prenatal vitamins have folic acid in them, which guards against abnormalities in the fetus. Other vitamins in them to help with other areas you may be lacking the proper nutrition. I was infertile for many years, and my doctor put me on prenatal vitamins as well with my other meds to get me pregnant, and I have a perfectly healthy lil boy now. So my advice is to take them everyday, no harm in it, only good things. And I am sorry for your losses, I have lost 2 pregnancies myself. Bless you and wish you dreams come true!

I agree with drjen and nojoke... you probably need a psychologist more than you need prenatal vitamins. Your bf/husband might seem like he's really nice now, but that doesn't mean he'll stay nice while you're pregnant. Pregnancy is a time of relatively high stress, which makes abuse more likely. You might be having mood swings and be irritable (both are fairly normal during pregnancy), and he might worry about finances and being a good father etc, which combined are NOT good when dealing with impulsive violent people. A lot of abusers hit their spouse for the first time when she's pregnant or soon after the baby is born. Seems like you already noticed that irl.
In case you're not aware of it, abuse comes in cycles... at first the abuser is nice, then he turns abusive, then he tells you he's really sorry and won't ever do it again and will be nice again for a while, but then he screws up and becomes abusive again, especially if under stress, etc. This cycle is not likely to end unless the abuser seeks help and works hard on learning different coping skills etc.
So, go see a psych, and ask your bf/husband to see one too, and also see one together. You need one to learn not to worry excessively about the baby's health (I find it unlikely that your first miscarriage occurred because of your worrying, but if it did you really need to learn not to worry so much), and you and your bf/husband need to learn to interact better with each other, and he needs to learn some impulse control etc. Then, once your life is sorted out, it's usually recommended to start taking prenatal vitamins at least 3 months before getting pregnant, although it's more important to live a healthy lifestyle (eat healthily, rest enough, do some moderate amount of exercise, don't smoke, etc) than to take the vitamins.

useful you are able to. in case you desire, you are able to take 2 newborn's Flintstones supplementations an afternoon, as they are about an same as a prenatal nutrition. Many medical doctors recommend this to women those who won't be able to swallow or manage the prenatal supplementations. devour the perfect you are able to, and solid luck ;-)

Stay on the prenatal vitamins. You don't have to be pregnant to take them, they are good for you and will ensure that when you do get pregnant your body will have an ample store of the necessary vitamins and minerals. Good Luck to you.

prenatals are a great supplement ALL the time.. not just while trying to conceive, however, if you are trying to get pregnant it is good to be taking them at least a year in advance t prepare a healthier body for pregnancy, so yes, take them now.... however, what concerns me is that you are trying to get pregnant and it sounds like your life and relationship is in turmoil... this should NEVER be a situation you should bring a new innocent life into. if you cannot create a positive loving environment WITHOUT the potential for ause, anger, violence, raging, fighting, etc you should NOT have a baby

If you're trying to conceive, it is recommended that at the very least you take a folic acid supplement (and prenatal vitamins have lots of folic acid). That ensures that you will have plently of folic acid throughout your entire pregnancy. Folic acid is essential in spinal formation, and greatly reduces spinal cord deformations (namely spina bifida).
