1. TEXAS. My adopted home. Great genuine people, diversity in cultures and geography, Texas pride, the most beautiful women I've ever seen!
2. Louisiana, my native home. I love my family there, and it is a culture and region distinctly its own (even if it does have an idiot for a governor.)
3. Wyoming. Wide open spaces and awe-inspiring views only God could have made. The most laid-back people I've ever met.
4. Tennessee does sound good to me. It has charming small towns, beautiful mountains, and friendly but growing metropolises. Rocky Top!

Least favorite:
1. Oregon. BEEAUTIFUL STATE, but that's it! I would be just as depressed as those people if I lived in rain 550 days of the year.
2. Kentucky. More rayed-neyck than many places. Rude and cliquish natives, very little to do, some of the rudest clients I deal with in my job come from KY. At least it has nice farms.
3. West Virginia: Been there once, scared the h*ll out of me.

Your choices and reasons seem to me to be very good ones.

Favorites of Mine:
NEW YORK. from the greatest city in the world to the beautiful upstate, Long Island, cities likes Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse, Cooperstown, Rhinebeck, the Hudson and the Lakes. I'm a native.

Wyoming.
Same reaction, same reasons. The Tetons, the clean air, the friendly folk.

Louisiana.
Nicest people in the country, fascinating scenery. Maybe the republicans who destroyed New Orleans will also think about restoring it. It was great to visit; the whole state is.

Maine
Scenery, the coastline, the woods and animals; and I like the folks there, because they keep to themselves.

Worst states:
Delaware.
Nothing against the place but it's grey, flat, without scenery, incredibly depressing just to cross by train, and
without highlights I know about.

California.
I've tried to find work there for years and the joke is true, without yogurt they'd have no culture. People there are raised as children on the streets, dress like barbarians, think they know everything by age 7 and never think thereafter. It's got a nice variety of scenery, but no one could live there.

West Virgina.
I think the people are fine but it's a depressing landscape, there's little work, the coal mining has wrecked half the state and there's no cities other than crowded Wheeling.

Mississippi.
They have a fine past but they're bigots stuck in the Civil War mindset, known about the country for being the most civilly backward folk in the US. Now that the Gulf Coasts' been flattened, it's one of he worst places to live.

Favorites:
1. California - Beautiful scenery & beaches, and the homes are amazing.

2. Florida - Everything here is so nice, but I'm not crazy about the hurricanes.

3. Nevada - Pretty cool state, escecially around Vegas.

Okay states
1. New Jersey - Some parts are ugly (like Newark and Camden) but the rest of the state is pretty nice. Northwest Jersey has beautiful mountains (and homes) and southeastern Jersey has beautiful scenery (Just like Florida but without the palm trees) and great beaches and boardwalks.

2. Texas - Nothing really good about it except for those new master-planned communities (e.g. Cinco Ranch, The Woodlands). These communities have beautiful houses, nice scenery, and basically everything else.

3. New York - Manhatten is amazing, Staten Island & Brooklyn are downright ugly, and Long Island is OK (It's nice if you like lots of old stuff & buildings that don't match) I don't think it's that nice, but compared to Staten Is. and Brooklyn it's nice.

Least Favorite:
1. Delaware - No character whatsoever, flat, boring,, dull, but it's becoming like Texas with these new communities (Phenomenal new houses, looks like something you'd see in florida).

2. Maryland - I hate the Eastern Shore - There's nothing there, it takes 20 mins to get grocereis, and they're so worried about spraw (I saw a newspaper article reading "The town suffered majorly in 1990 when 5 single-family houses were built, and got an even bigger blow in 1995 when they built 6 single family houses". Oh the horror (note major sarcasm there). Western shore is OK, but nothing special.

FAVORITE:
1. Oregon. Beautiful state, and the rain stat is highly misleading. In Southern Oregon it doesn't rain as much, and when it rains, it is more of a drizzle over a longer period of time. A slight sprinkle. Oregon is my favorite because of its climate- neither too warm nor too cold- and because of its wonderful nature. Take Crater Lake for example. The deepest lake in North America, in the crater of a volcano.

2. Washington. Same stuff as Oregon. It has Seattle, which is a plus, but it is a little more dreary than Oregon.

3. California. I would not want to live there, but it is fun. Not to mention it has Disneyland, which apart from EPCOT, is leaps and bounds better than Disney World.

4. Georgia. I hated the state for the first year I lived there, but it grew on me. Atlanta has a lot of fun stuff, like the World of Coke, and the climate is great except for the summer, when it is miserable. The Lightning Storms however are fascinating.

Honorable Mentions: Colorado, Florida, Alabama, Arizona, Virginia

LEAST FAVORITE.
1. Utah. Utah is the most depressing state to me. I have seen more bad weather there than anywhere else. It is also a boring landscape.

2. Idaho. Land of the Potatos..... only good thing about them is they have Boise State University.

3. New Mexico. It is surround by states with fun stuff to visit, but it is boring!

Honorable Mention: Massachusets, Wyoming, Missouri, Texas

Favorite States
West Virginia, because my home town is Huntington, and trust me, there are no dueling banjos in Huntington, unless they are on a music Cd. And to the person who said there are no city except for crowede Wheeling, you are mistaken. Huntington and Charleston are the two largest cities in the state, and Huntington is a very pretty little city, maybe even the prettiest in the whole state!

Tennessee. I spent a few months in Nashville and I thought is was a really cool city!

Missouri, because even though I have never been there, a very special friend that I actually meet on Y/A politics section, lives in St Louis, MO

South Carolina, because I have read about Charleston, and it sounds really awesome in many ways!

Least Favorite
North Carolina, because I live here now, and I have not exactly had the best time of my life here. I have managed to stay employed, in a manner of speaking, but that is about it! *sm*

Favorites:
Florida, grew up here, went to school here (GO GATORS!), live and work here
Georgia - cheapest gas I've ever seen
Maryland - born there, Redskins fan, best looking flag
Louisiana - Ahh, Mardi Gras & Sugar Bowl, cheapest solo cup beer in the union

Least Favorites:
Mississippi - Don't ever get a flat tire in this state (your West Virginia)
Virginia - although they have great ham and peanuts, they have too many taxes and too many laws (no radar detectors, something to do about cigarettes, etc.)
Michigan & Ohio - Together the second most observed license plate in Florida (Ontario & Quebec there too, but outside the US)
South Carolina - still likes to fly the confederate flag, state going broke (interstate roadways need work)
Finally, Florida - getting tired of everyone up north moving in to retire, leads to more development and chopping down trees, high gas prices

I certainly have got here upon something to love approximately maximum each US State .. in spite of the undeniable fact that, there is one state that I unquestionably did no longer get exhilaration from being in (and this is from the journey of being stationed there on an identical time as on lively accountability) .. and that's California. It replaced right into a terrible journey all around, and it replaced into with great relief that I have been given orders to a distinctive accountability station exterior of that state for helpful.

Favorite states; Of Mind, Of Being and Intoxication.

Least favorite; Texas, I grew up there. Worlds best road system with the world's worst drivers. Dry counties, when will they ever get to the 21st century. Bugs, too many and too big.
Oh yes, the worst thing about Texas is Texans, they are so full of themselves. They even decorate there homes with Texas stichk.

Love California, most eco-sensible state I've heard of! Louisiana sounds really charming. New York I intend to visit more one day since it's close ;-)

I don't like much Texas because of Bush and most of the state who don't care to help diminish the CO2 levels and keep the biodiversity.
