The worst injury that I've ever had happened about 2 years ago at college - what happened was I was on my wy to class, was trying to impress this really cute guy who was across the hall by wearing my 25 pound backpack with just 1 strap off the shoulder, started to go up the stairs to class, slipped on some sand (or something), twisted around, grabbed the railing, but my backpack pulled my back further, in terms of twisting it, injuring it.
Not only did I have to go to that class (and my other classes as well) with a mild lower back injury, but I had to spend a long time flat on my back in bed, doing homework and recovering all by myself from it, too.
15 years ago, I had another back injury that was just as bad as that one - and I'm STILL being treated for it today!

Car accident. Was thrown out through the windshield. Still have the scars on my face although plastic surgery has helped immensely. Also suffered abdominal injuries...liver and spleen ruptures. Broken ribs with a collapsed lung. Dislocated right knee. Head injury...no lasting brain damage. Was in the hospital for weeks.

I'm lucky to be alive.

Took me months to recover. I still won't ride in or drive small cars. I drive an SUV.

Why did it happen? I was only 16. Being a stupid kid...driving too fast and taking crazy chances. I thought I was invincible. I was wrong.

since playing rugby for 20 years there are too many to mention including broken ribs and all my fingers, but two that stick to my mind are- getting kicked in my kidneys where the swelling of them were so bad the hospital had to ct scan me to find my splene, a lovley 2 weeks in hospital. The other is the one ive got now, which has ended my somewhat hampered career on the field. Its an ankle injury that is not healing too well, the old foot wont bend at all. Well we will play these silly games hey.

My body reacted badly to the knee surgery that I had, and I got Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. After that I've had to have 5 other surgeries to fix the problem as to my body reacting badly to surgery little loan the pain that I've had to deal with during everything else, and only being 14 so I've missed out on a lot of stuff.

If dehydration or poisoning counts as an 'injury', then it was probably one of those. Other than that, I would say a severe concussion. There was also some bone surgery, but the concussion was probably the worst.

head impact. i can still remember what it feels just before loosing consciousness. everything darkens not like on TV. so very different. i saw dark violet or maybe maroon spots before going dark. it was weird. i regained consciousness after a minute (they picked me up i was still flat on my back). i don't why or how so soon. i thought you lost consciousness and you wake up much later. i don't ever wanna go through that again.

Sat on a bear trap...

The initial pain was not as bad as hitting the end of the chain running away...:-)
