Why do people get so defensive when it comes to those two teams? Have you ever seen how calm the players are when they're playing? Yeah, they want to win but they don't get as tense as we do when Yankees and Red Sox play against each other. Just relax! Either way, you know Yankees are going to get to the World Series and win, so why do you beat yourselves up?

That's because the Red Sox vs the Skankees are the biggest rivalry out there and everyone else gets annoyed, because they could only dream of having such a intense rivalry. People we get excited about these games and it's only APRIL. Every other team in the league thanks both the Red Sox and Skankees, because when we arrive in their stadiums they actually make money, because our teams are the reason game is sold out! Some teams can't even sell out even when they are in the playoffs or say win the division for ten years like Atlanta.

I've never really looked at the politics section here, but judging from the politcal debates in other venues, I wouldn't doubt it.
Too many people have forgotten the difference between an opponent and an enemy, and you're getting prime examples all around this response.
