It depends on individual to individual b'coz some say it's a reality and some say it's myth, my mother has herself experienced some evil spirits and my father encountered with his grandfather's soul, who was very nice being and didn't harmed my father. Some believe they don't but wat bout' those who encountered with them.So we can't say so surely whether they exist or not.

Yes, ghosts are real, but as I have stated in many other answers to many other questions, there are many things that can be called a "ghost." Some are just dead people that never got off the 3-D plane. Some are merely leftovers of someone who really did leave but in a bad way so that negative energies assuming their characteristics and form become a pseudo-entity. Some are friendly. Others are mindless. Most are not dangerous. That doesn't mean an encounter with a ghost would not be scary or at least startling, but knowing that they are probably not trying to hurt you is helpful.
I do not only believe in ghosts, I have had the pleasure of meeting a few friendly ones. They do not generally speak out loud, obviously, but most can engage in a kind of "thought-talk" in which they can communicate with someone else mind-to-mind. One might use full sentences and words, or just concepts. Even images can be used. Talking to a ghost may provide insight into the workings of the world sometimes.

Asking me a question like this is like asking an astrophysicist if the world is really flat! Having been born and brought up in the Native American tradition, the certainty of the existence of "ghosts" is simply a given. Additionally, I have personally been involved with them off and on all of my life, in all kinds of settings. There are many, many photographs of "ghosts" or spirits on the website; www.coasttocoastam.com. I have downloaded dozens of credible photographs over the years. I guess that you might say that I know ghosts do exist. Most are pretty friendly, just as mysterio has said, but there a very few pretty confused and unhappy ones, who can always use a helping hand to get on with it. They nearly always appreciate it when we do give them a helping hand.

"Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."
What that means is the simple fact that ghosts have not been proven to exist does not mean that they do not exist.
The scientific process is all about discovery. If the only things that exist are the things we know now to exist, then that would mean we know everything.
We don't know everything.
Could it be possible that ghosts exist?
No objective scientific person can claim that they don't.
The only logical answer is we don't know.
Do I believe there are ghosts?
I am certain there is more to life than we currently understand.

MYTH!
There is no verifiable, repeatable evidence - no legitimate photos - no matter what the hype says.
Think about it - if they were real, there would be no doubt about it - there would be widely disseminated evidence - everyone would know about them.
As it stands, the only reports of ghosts either come from 1) people who intentionally lie about it, or 2) people who have themselves been deceived, or 3) people who are under such emotional stress that they have delusions and interpret them as ghosts.

Real. I have a twelve year old boy named Arthur who died some thrity years ago following me around, and he's been with my family for 10 years.
Also, I have EVPs, pictures and experiences of ghosts/spirits. Whether or not you believe in ghosts or the supernatural depends on how you were raised. I have open-minded parents and they raised us to be open-minded and not to disbelieve anything unless we researched it on our own, getting all possible information and forming our own opinion.

I think ghosts are real because people have seen spirits of the loved ones they lost.

Yes, I believe they do. Contrary to many people's beliefs, there IS evidence out there collected by honest and truthful groups of scientists. They just aren't believed because the supersticious and unproffesional idiots out there give them a bad name. There is a BBC show where "ghost hunters" use a "psychic" to contact spirits which is TOTAL BOGUS. But, another group out there, an American group called The Atlantic Paranormal Society, or TAPS, does honest investigations and explains perfectly plausible scientific reasons for paranormal phenomenon. Plus, being a non-profit organization, they are not in it for the money. Here is their website...
