Though Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara have been the best players in the past, of late they are out of form and are not performing well. Hence Ricky Ponting, who is still performing well consistently is the best player now.

I would have to say Brian lara from that list because of his achievements and the work he has done as the captain of that team. but i think an upcoming player is Lasith Malinga remember the name he is going to be a very good player.
