Will it show my dad's real parents on it?

His birth certificate will have been changed when he was adopted to reflect the name the new parents chose for him. That is the name he is using to this day legally.

If you are looking to find birth parents names you can get on http://www.reunion.com at their adoption forum and start reading the requests. That will help you properly post your dad's information on the site and see if you can get some answers. Lots of time there are bio-parents searching and see the information posted there.

There are also several angel's on that Board willing to help do look-ups of information you might find useful.

Go to county records and request it. If that doesn't work try one of the agencies that help unite birth parents.

PS. I have a half sister who's birth certificate I obtained just like this.

that seems like several different questions. can you get a copy of your dad's birth certificate? don't know if they will let another person besides your dad request one, but it doesn't matter if he's alive, that's for sure. will it show his real parents on it--? it should! i don't know how fast he got put into the adoption system but the birth cert really should have his real mom on it and maybe his real dad (you know, they can prove the mom but if she doesn't tell them the dad, they can't know who it is).
