Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Pocket Guide to Home Health Care by Karen McGough Monks
* Handbook of Home Health Standards and Documentation -- Guidelines for Reimbursement by T. M. Marrelli
* Handbook of Home Health Orientation by T. M. Marrelli
* Manual of Home Health Nursing Procedures by Robyn Rice

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Your question is not very clear. What kind of home health care business you are looking at? Are you living in Singapore or other country?

Every country has her own rules and regulations!

Health care business should be something to certain extend quite professional.

First you have to be a qualified professional for that, means you must have certain certificate or degree for that. Second, you might need to get approval from Ministry of Health, that you have to undergo some health screening first; which means you must not be suffering from any serious diseases, and must not be a carrier for diseases like Hypertitis B or Aids etc. Third you have to register a company at Acra. After you got your license, then you have to buy insurance for your liability to your clients. Also, the MOH will sent some one to inspect your house condition, only if you can meet the expectation, then you can get the approval.

Hope I am able to assist you a little! If you are also thinking of some other small business which you can run at home, with very low capital(less than SIN$500), pls write to me.

Wish you good luck and success!

Does this mean that you want to set up a busines where you provide professionals to do home health care? If yes, my recommendation is that you look into a franchise opportunity. Whether you decide to go with a franchise or not, you can learn a lot about the field by this type of exploration. Then, if you like what you see, you can either go into a franchise, or you can go it alone.
