I don't think they can rationalize. Their hatred for Bush and other republicans are so profound, they'd vote for dumbo if they could. Sadly they don't realize the democratic party is so wrong not just for the Country, but the world.

I won't vote republican, I'm a conservative and I'll vote for someone with all the core values and someone willing to fight illegal immigration. Obviously that leaves out all your democrats and most of your well known republicans. Their selling out our Country.

If it were just President Bush, my Independent vote might go back to the Republicans, as it has more often than not in the past. But it's not just President Bush. It's his whole Administration, and it's the continued defense of this corrupt Administration by Republicans in general that has placed my vote firmly in the Democrat's corner. The Republican rubber stamp Congress and their waffling now over Bush's mistakes have left me completely disgusted with the Republican Party. These are not the same Republicans I voted for in the Reagan years. They don't even resemble the same Republicans. Sorry, I've just had enough.

I don't vote along party lines. I try to educate myself to the person who is running for office. So no,President Bush would not keep me from voting Republican.

I'm older and have lived through 10 presidents. Whenever there is a Republican president, I feel subtly repressed and restrained if not oppressed. You notice it in the workplace.

When there is a democrat in power, everybody wants your input. You are personally empowered. When there is a republican in power, you become restrained. Tattletales are the top dogs. The teamwork suffers or is nonexistent. This was obvious to me before I even became interested in politics.

The air changes almost immediately with the change in politics. Republican ideals are non-progressive and stagnant. If fact, regressive. I still believe both parties are necessary to keep things balanced.

That is GW's war and he should be held accountable for every that has happened to our troops and to Iraq .
Powell told Bush , " You break it , you fix it ". If we really supported the troops , we would get them out of harms way and bring them home .
To help protect this country from the illegals crossing into this nation and we don't even know , who they are or what they are up to , do we ????.
But I will vote for the Candidate who put America and the American People First !!!
Not what Corporations want

Up until the 1980 I was loyal Republican and admired work of the party in some issues. But when the party became the party of Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, James Dobson and rest of the "men of religion" they lost my support and embrace the GOP(God's Only Party.)

If I agree with a candidate even if they are Republican I will vote for them. I agree that in a perfect world Republican beliefs would work best, however we do not live in a perfect world.

The GOP has not given me any reason to trust them these past 6 years. I normally don't like to vote straight party line but too many republican in congress have the Tom DeLay philosophy of treating the democrats like "the enemy".
